Test of Metal competitor rides with a purpose

There are at least 900 reasons for people to ride the Test of Metal.
Every one of the riders on the start line has his or her own reasons to challenge the gruelling 67 kilometre course, but perhaps none of the stories is more compelling than that of first time Test of Metal participant Suzanne Jolly. (read more)

• Sunny days! So excited that the weather report is for sunny skies!!! You're welcome.

• The start has moved from years past. The start and the sign on will be at Republic Bicycles (41340 Government Rd) This is about 1 KM south of the main race venue of Don Ross Secondary School.

• Due to the limited parking at the race start we are asking racers to park at Brackendale Elementary and use the short roll back to the start as part of their warm up. A quick stop in to sign on is fine but we don't want too many vehicles parked at the start venue for the duration of the event.

• Single Speeders! There is a category for you! During sign on please let us know if you are riding single speed. You will still be scored in your normal age category as well as the Single speed category.

• Volunteer! We have all sorts of fun jobs and could always use more help. E-mail Dale Addis daaaddis@gmail.com if you are interested.

Happy Trails!!!!!

VOLUNTEER

You can also participate of this great event by volunteering! It’s a fun day out of the house cheering and watching the coolest people in town showing how it’s done! It’s also a very social day, being this a very spectator friendly race.  Post-race festivities also promises to be epic, just saying. More details to come.

To volunteer, please send me an e-mail or simply leave a comment here. The e-mail is therighthand@riderepublic.com, with your name (last name too, please!), contact info and the position you would like to have. I can also send you the positions available. If you don’t know that’s fine too, your help will be used and appreciated!n
