Carpenter Sons Bridge Closed

May 27 2010

As of June 1, 2010 the Carpenter's Sons Bridge will be out of commission as it will be receiving some much needed structural upgrades.

This will be your last weekend to pre-ride the Test of Metal course WITH the bridge in place before the actual race. You will still be able to ride other sections of the course, you will have to link the north and south portions through either Darwin's Crossing or the lower trail access along Highway 99.

As a side note, the current bridge was put in place only days before the first Test of Metal on its current course.

Which bridge? By Unknown on May 28 2010 at 7:56 PM
For those of us who have no idea what the names of the bridges are, is this the bridge that's right after the life-sucking bark mulch trail?

Thanks!

I have to give a big thumbs-down for the effort given to explain how to access these other feeder trails. Considering how many people who might miss pre-riding the course, organizers should have posted online maps. And shouldn't all these bridges be checked for structural damage long before the race?
