Test of Metal Inc. announces clothing and merchandising partner.

Posted: Mar 07 2012

Test of Metal, Inc. president, Cliff Miller, announced today that AdMaki Creative will be providing clothing and merchandise for the TOM sponsored races this year.

AdMaki will create Orecrusher, Test of Metal, Gearjammer and JABR volunteer t-shirts, as well as winners' jerseys for the Test of Metal and Gearjammer.

In addition, TOM Inc. and AdMaki will work together to provide racer apparel and merchandise for purchase by Test of Metal competitors and fans available for sale through an online store.

“We are very happy to have this agreement in place with a company that shares the Test of Metal, Inc. values and understands mountain bikers and how to market to bike riders," said Miller. "AdMaki has the enthusiasm, knowledge and resources required to deliver the high quality products our racers are looking for."

AdMaki Creative is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Bragg Creek, Alberta.

The company principals are Mark and Tanya Kamachi. Mark is a former Squamish resident and a 2011 Test of Metal competitor.
"It is with great pride and joy that we have been given this opportunity to be a player with Test of Metal, Inc. to bring merchandise designs and product to a mountain biking series that is second to none," says AdMaki Creative Director Mark Kamachi.
AdMaki was chosen to be a merchandising partner after TOM issued a request for proposals (RFP) in January.

The response to the RFP produced excellent submissions and TOM, Inc. thanks all the companies that participated by submitting proposals.

The Test of Metal, which takes place on June 16, 2012, is a gruelling 67 kilometre point-to-point mountain bike race through Squamish's world-renowned trails.

Past participants in the race include Canadian Olympians Alison Sydor, Geoff Kabush, and Seamus McGrath, World Champion Catharine Pendrell, as well as notable celebrities like Vancouver Canuck icon Trevor Linden.

The Test of Metal, Inc. is a not-for-profit society run by volunteers, and any proceeds from the race are returned to the community through charitable donations. Since its inception, the Test of Metal has donated more than $145,000 to community organizations and events.
