Your Privacy is Protected
The Test of Metal Group of Events entry credit card information will be processed through a company called Paradata. You can find out more about Paradata at www.paradata.com.
The Internet allows Test of Metal and Paradata to interact with you across time and space to offer information and services. At the same time, it also brings legitimate concerns about privacy and security.
At Test of Metal and Paradata, we are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals and safeguarding information entrusted to us. In fact, it is one of our highest priorities.
What Information is Collected?
As a certified Internet payment service, Paradata's business involves the receipt, processing and transfer of messages, which contain payment transaction data. The purpose for collecting this information is to execute our commercial service and to provide merchants, financial institutions and third party processors with the transaction data generated by their activities.
Test of Metal might also collect and retain certain information, including names and email addresses, from individuals or entities who voluntarily choose to sign up for our 'Wait List'. When you visit Test of Metal or Paradata's websites, information is not collected that could identify you personally unless you choose to provide it voluntarily. You are welcome to browse these websites at any time anonymously and privately without revealing any personal or financial information about yourself.
At Paradata, and Test of Metal, all the information you provide is securely maintained and kept strictly confidential.
NOTE: Test of Metal DOES NOT SEE your credit card number. That information goes directly to your bank, with the entry form showing only a row of xxx in the number spots. We do, however, collect and commit to database your other information. If you wish this information to be removed, see our Opt-Out Policy further down this page.
How We Safeguard Your Information
Paradata uses up to date technologies and maintains current security standards to ensure that personal and transaction information is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, inappropriate alteration or misuse. All safety and security measures are also appropriate to the sensitivity level of your information.
Electronic files are kept in a highly secured physical environment with restricted access. Paper-based files are also kept in secure locations with restricted access.
We diligently manage our infrastructure with leading edge security mechanisms. Our security practices are reviewed on a regular basis and we are proactive in deploying technologies to ensure that the confidentiality and privacy of your information is not compromised.
Paradata websites use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and 128 bit encryption technologies to enhance security when you visit the secured areas of these sites. SSL is the industry standard protocol for protecting and maintaining the security of message transmissions over the Internet.
To ensure your connection to the protected areas of the Paradata website is secure, look for either a 'closed lock' or an 'unbroken key' icon located at the bottom right hand side of your browser's task bar. You may also check the Address bar to determine if SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is active by looking at the beginning of the address. If it starts with "https" rather than the standard "http", then SSL is operating.
To help us better understand our markets, we may also gather information for analytical purposes by conducting anonymous customer surveys and by extracting demographic information from existing files.
When Information May be Disclosed to Third Parties
At Paradata, we keep personal and transaction information confidential except as authorized or required by agreement or by law.
The terms and conditions associated with acquiring specific products or services from Paradata are set out in our customer agreements. With respect to the matter of privacy, these agreements authorize and require us to: collect payment transaction information from merchants, financial institutions, and third party processors, use this information to provide the services requested of us, process and transfer this information among processors, acquirers or financial institutions who are legitimately involved in the transaction processing sequence.
In the course of daily operations, access to private, sensitive and confidential information is restricted to authorized employees who have a legitimate business purpose and reason for accessing it.
As a condition of their employment, all employees of Paradata are required to abide by the privacy standards we have established. They are also required to work within the principles as set out in our internal Employee Rules and must follow all applicable laws and regulations. Employees are well informed about the importance of privacy and security and they are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits the disclosure of any information to unauthorized individuals or parties.
