The weekend will cover the entire spectrum of what it takes to prepare for the Test, including course orientation, race tips from the pros, improving technical skills, an 8-week training program and bike prep tips. TWOONIE RIDESJoin the Squamish Off Road Cycling Association (SORCA) for Twoonie Rides beginning in April and running every other week. There will also be the popular 'warm-up wednesday' rides. Watch the SORCA website for updates. SORCA ROLLER TRAINING NIGHTSSORCA hosts windtrainer nights January to April to help burn off that winter flab and get ready for the upcoming season. We have riders of all flavours out so don't be intimidated. A training program is provided or you can pedal your own way. The workouts are about an hour long (a little longer after the first few weeks). Participants need their own bike, quiet trainer, and any other items that will make them comfortable, ie. water bottle, towel etc. Monday & Thursdays, Starting Jan 8th – 7:00 pm. Start (Door opens for set-up @ 6:30PM). Don Ross Secondary School. Parking at the rear of the school. (Go through the gate, alongside the playing field, entrance door is above the garbage bins, It will be open for you). Don’t forget that this is open to ALL interests and abilities. Go as hard as YOU want/need. A very social group has attended in the past. Bring your favourite DVD’s or music for motivation. These training nights are open to SORCA members only. |
